Menopause is
the time in
a woman's
life when
menstruation
stops
permanently.
Also known
as the
"change of
life,"
menopause is
the point in
which the
ovaries
reduce their
production
of female
sex
hormones, a
process
which begins
about three
to five
years before
the final
menstrual
period.
What Does
Progesterone
have to do
with
Menopause?
Due to
ovulation
cycles,
progesterone
levels
typically
decline
before
menstruation
starts and
is followed
by a decline
in estrogen.
Throughout
the course
of a woman's
life,
estrogen and
progesterone
hormones are
constantly
fluctuating.
Progesterone
production
tends to
fall to
almost zero
while
estrogen
declines to
about 40
percent to
50 percent.
It is the
imbalance
between
these two
hormones
that can
cause the
symptoms of
PMS,
menopause,
and
accelerated
bone loss
after
menopause.
Progesterone
is essential
for survival
and its
deficiency
can cause a
wide range
of problems.
Natural
progesterone
cream
applied
transdermally
is stored in
the fatty
tissues for
use as
needed by
the body to
reverse the
effects of
estrogen
dominance.
What is
Estrogen
Dominance?
Dr. Lee has
coined the
term
"estrogen
dominance"
to describe
what happens
when the
normal
balance of
estrogen to
progesterone
is changed
by excessive
estrogen or
inadequate
progesterone.
Estrogen is
a potent and
potentially
dangerous
hormone when
not balanced
by adequate
progesterone.
Women, who
have
suffered
from PMS and
or
menopausal
symptoms,
will
recognize
the common
symptoms of
estrogen
dominance:
mood swings,
weight gain,
irritability,
tender
breasts, hot
flashes,
night
sweats,
bloating,
headaches,
fatigue,
depression,
loss of
energy and
sex drive,
endometriosis,
hypoglycemia,
and uterine
fibroids.
Would I
benefit from
natural
progesterone
even though
I've had a
hysterectomy?
Yes! A
partial or
total
hysterectomy
generally
causes the
production
of
progesterone
to stop, but
not the
production
of estrogen.
Recent
medical
studies have
shown that
women who
have had
surgically
induced
menopause
(hysterectomy)
or natural
menopause
can have
their
hormone
levels
checked even
years later
and will
only notice
a slight
decline in
the amount
of estrogen
found in the
body.
However,
progesterone
levels can
drop to
zero.
(The body
can obtain
estrogen
through
food, the
environment,
and even
make it very
easily in
other organs
of the
body). This
causes
estrogen
dominance.
This
unopposed
estrogen can
now cause
many of the
symptoms
that you may
be
experiencing.
How Safe is
Pure Relief
Natural
Progesterone
Cream?
The placenta
produces
about 300 mg
of
progesterone
daily during
the third
trimester of
pregnancy,
so we know
that a
one-time
overdose of
the cream is
virtually
impossible.
If you used
an entire
jar at once
it night, it
may make you
sleepy.
I am
currently
taking
estrogen.
Can I still
use Pure
Relief?
Dr. Lee
recommends
that you
begin using
the Natural
Progesterone
Cream, while
gradually
reducing the
amount of
estrogen.
You do this
by skipping
days from
taking the
estrogen
pills.
Some people
take their
estrogen
pills every
other day,
then every
third day,
and so on.
If you
decide to
continue
taking some
form of
estrogen,
Dr. Lee
states that
you must
take some
form of
progesterone
with it.
Once I start
using Pure
Relief, how
long will it
take to
work?
It varies
from person
to person.
Many users
notice a
difference
within the
first week
or so.
Since every
woman's body
is
different,
Dr. Lee
states that
it could
take up to
30 to 45
days to get
the full
benefit of
the product.
